Hardship exposes parts of a man that comfort may never reach. When life brings him to rock bottom, the beliefs and behaviors that once defined him are forced to face a deeper test. Maturity is forged by allowing those difficult experiences to shape and challenge what still needs to die. The false, naive, and immature parts cannot remain untouched when a man is forced through something bigger than himself. There comes a point when control is no longer enough. Confronting powerlessness can become the moment hardship reveals the man within.
