London built its reputation as one of the best places in the world to run a global business. But some of the tax policies now in place are making a lot of internationally mobile entrepreneurs think twice. If your family business is based overseas, the idea that everything you own anywhere in the world could be taxed by HMRC is a serious concern. And with some of the highest inheritance taxes in the world, the prospect of a family having to fire sell a business just to pay a death tax is not just unfair, it can destroy the business entirely. The entrepreneurs who made London their home have choices. And some of them are starting to look at those choices differently. #economy #tax #entrepreneur #ukbusiness #London
